• Littledale

The group has acquired a camping hut at Littledale Scout Camp Site, Near Caton, Lancaster. The hut is for our sole use and prior to our acquisition had not been maintained for the past ten years. Since our takeover, we have painted the inside and outside of the hut, fitted some beds, replaced a rotten wooden sleeper, built some steps to make access to the hut easier, installed a wood burner along with a kitchen unit, fitted new perspex windows, dug trenches and filled with limestone chippings to act as drainage and added decking to the exterior.

There is still plenty more work to be done on our project, such as adding guttering and completing the steps. However the hut is now habitable and can easily accommodate six adults.
